Amanda is a prominent figure in São Paulo’s queer underground music scene, where she has promoted events for years. She has been a resident DJ at the renowned collectives Mamba Negra and Dando since their inception, performing at major events such as Boiler Room, DGTL, Gop Tun Festival, Photon, and Tantsa. Amanda has taken her distinctive sound worldwide, performing alongside heavyweights like Jeff Mills, Ben Klock, DVS1, Ellen Allien, and many others. Now based in Berlin, she frequently returns to her roots in São Paulo and Asunción, maintaining a strong connection with the local music scene. In North America her presence is also well-established in New York, where she has been a fixture at the infamous Unter and regularly plays at Basement; in 2023 she had her debut at the techno birth place, Detroit as part of the No Way Back weekender curated by Tresor. In Berlin, Amanda is a frequent performer at Berghain, becoming one of the first female Brazilian DJs to play multiple times on the main floor, recently achieving her first closing set. Amsterdam has also become a second European home, with ongoing performances at IsBurning, Vault Sessions, Lofi, Radion, and more.
Her music journey as a producer began six years ago with her Paraguayan crew at LPZ Records, followed by releases on labels like Renato Cohen’s Massa Records, The Lady Machine/Decka’s Unterwegs, PG Tune, and Planet X. Amanda also launched her own label, Macro Hits, which held a monthly residency on The Lot Radio in NYC from 2020 to 2021, continuing to spotlight Latin American dance music talent.
In addition to her DJ and production work, Amanda runs the .alt bookings agency, which focuses on fostering cultural exchange in South America’s dance music scene. This initiative allows her to collaborate with artists worldwide and bridge diverse music scenes from across the globe.
